HEROES: Positioning Historically Black Colleges and Universities for Research Success:Understanding Funder Priorities
By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to articulate how HBCU missions, strengths, and community-engaged work can be framed as assets that directly address funder priorities; recognize common structural barriers HBCUs face in competitive funding environments and discuss ways to mitigate them through proposal design, partnerships, and internal supports; and identify at least two concrete next steps (e.g., contacting a program officer, joining a review panel, attending a funder webinar, or organizing an internal writing group) to deepen their understanding of review processes and funder expectations. Presenters: Aprille Ericsson and Shadei Laird. Register
