Indigenous Knowledge Informed framework for Collegiate Pathways Success funded by Lumina

QEM will plan and conduct community-based research across the 4 regions, and 6 states, served by the US Department of the Interior Indian Affairs Office to develop a framework for post-secondary matriculation for Indigenous students. The funding will allow QEM to co-design a framework using a holistic approach that is inclusive of voices and experiences of indigenous community members including community leaders, student, administration, faculty, and advisors. The goals of the project are:  (1) create a culturally responsive framework for student success driven by Indigenous Community participation, and (2) within the framework of the current Guided Pathways frame validate elements that are universal to American Indian-Alaskan Native student experiences. QEM envision this framework will be beneficial to our institutions that serve American Indian and Alaskan Native student populations.
