Current National Scale Enterprises and MSI Integrating Framework for Indigenous Student Experience funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Building upon the BMGF funded work which resulted in the Guided Pathways to College Completion framework, this project will acknowledge the significance of Indigenous resiliency for post-secondary students from American Indigenous communities across 3 geographic areas in concert with an active Lumina foundation project across four other geographic areas with Indigenous people. Creating a framework and then training series around the value and use of the framework for a population of students for whom intergenerational and historical traumas are deeply rooted, will engage IHEs with a equity centered lens rather than deficit modeled lens when supporting Indigenous students. Through this funding, QEM will continue to test Integrating Frameworks in different contexts specifically within Minority Serving Institutions/TCUs starting with those serving Tribal and Indigenous student populations.
